Problem

Job Output from Control-M for z/OS Jobs are not available in Workload Archiving Search when 5-character JES job ids are in use.

Workload Archiving logs will have error messages similar to the following: " [WARNING] error getting OUTPUT_LIST for job ... Error : [Desc (901): Job output not found in agent.]. ErrorCode : [901]. CollectJobHandler::handleError "

Cause

CAR00188680 When 5-char JES job ids are in use, no job outputs are archived by EM archive. The following error messages appear in the EM archiving server log for each job: "OUTPUT NOT FOUND. Desc (901): Job output not found in agent."

Solution

Corrective Action Request CAR00188680 has been created to address this issue. It is resolved in Control-M for z/OS 9.19.

Until Control-M for z/OS can be upgraded, PTF PG04206 is available to apply to Control-M for z/OS. Please contact BMC Support to obtain this patch.
