Expected Recommended Incident Templates are not showing in Smart IT 18.08 Smart Recorder when the "templateSearchByAuthoringGroup" property is set to 'true' in the Centralized Configuration.

Instead, it will display 'No recommended templates found':

Defect SW00556173 is marked as fixed in Smart IT 19.02.01.

These steps resolved the issue in Smart IT 18.08.xx:

• Open the "HPD:TemplateSPGAssocLookup" form in Developer Studio Base Mode
• Open the 'Database' properties of the InstanceId (ID: 179) field (note: this field is not in view) and make sure the 'Full Text MFS Category Name' is set to 'InstanceId'

• In the 'Full Text Search'-section of the form's 'Definitions'-tab, assure that:
  • Title is set to 'Template Name'
  • Scan times is set to 'Run By = Interval' and a 2 minute interval

• Save the changed, which would trigger FTS indexing activity for this form - wait for this activity to complete (e.g. confirm ft_pending has cleared) and test the issue again

IMPORTANT: We highly recommend you to take the necessary backups and test the solution in QA/Dev environment to ensure the functionality.
