TrueSight Infrastructure Management (TSIM): How to enable trace on smmgr process?

1) Backup and edit smmgr.conf file at location $MCELL_HOME/etc on TSIM/BPPM server and uncomment below line. BMC also recommend increasing trace file size from default 1MB to 10MB. This ensure trace data don’t get rolled over in large environment

Trace=Yes
TraceFileSize=10M

Save changes in file.

2) Create or edit smmgr.trace file at location $MCELL_HOME/etc on TSIM/BPPM Server and add following line
   

ALL ALL stderr

No need to restart any process as smmgr process automatically gets started when publishing server triggers publishing process.

The debug/trace logs smmgr-log files are in pw/server/log/<cell>.
