Before beginning, ensure that the Reporting Metadata Studio and Kaazing service have been installed and configured by following this documentation.

Installing and upgrading Reporting Metadata Studio

After completing the above steps, follow these instructions to import an out-of-the-box (OOTB) View.

1. Open the Reporting Metadata Studio application:

2. Click on the File menu and then select the Import from Helix Dashboards option:

3. A prompt window will appear. Here, select the desired out-of-the-box (OOTB) View to import, then click OK.

4. If the local model has not yet been saved, enter a name for it and save it.

5. The out-of-the-box (OOTB) View will be imported to the design section as follows:

After this point, the OOTB View can be updated and then saved as a copy of the original.

Note: By default, OOTB views cannot be altered or modified to maintain the original configuration.
