What PTFs for the BMC Db2 Admin products are required to support Db2 for z/OS V13 Function Level V13R1M505 new features?

It is important to note that upgrading your Db2 V13 Subsystem to FL505 (V13R1M505) will not pose any issues with the BMC Db2 Admin products, even in the absence of a PTF to enable support for certain new Db2 features.

For V13R1M505 you will just need to rebind our packages at the current Function Level you are running.

With SPE2410, BMC AMI Change Manager for Db2 product will support the newly introduced INTERPRET function, but that support does Not require the Change Manager packages to be bound at FL505.

A similar situation occurs for BMC AMI Catalog Manager for Db2 product where SPE2410 will support the new GEN_SESSION_USER columns added to several Db2 Catalog Tables.

Therefore, to take advantage of new Db2 V13 V13R1M505 features, please Apply the following PTFs:

• ACM BMC AMI Change Manager for Db2 v13
  • To support new INTREPRET function, following PTFs are needed: BQU5544, BQU5561 and BQU5567 
• ACT BMC AMI Catalog Manager for Db2 v13
  • To support new GEN_SESSION_USER columns added to several Catalog Tables in support of FL505, the following PTFs are needed: BQU5517, BQU5518
• BMC AMI Command Center for Db2
  • No maintenance needed
• DASD MANAGER PLUS for DB2
  • No maintenance needed
