Windows Server 2025 devices are classified as desktops.

When desktop discovery is enabled, the scan partially works:

• It creates a DiscoveryAccess with end_state=GoodAccess
• It creates a Host with os ="Microsoft Windows Server 2025 Datacenter Version 10.0.26100 Build 26100" but:
• The host is classified as desktop instead of server
• The support details are populated for Windows 10 instead of windows server 2025

When desktop discovery is disabled, the scan fails with Skipped (desktop host discovery has been disabled)

Root cause 1 : (on prem only) The TKU version is Nov24 or older.

Solution: Upgrade to the TKU Dec24+. Rescan the ip from the appliance until the fix for the cause below is deployed.

Root cause 2: Defect DRUD1-51019. For now (Jan24), the release plan is 25.1.01

To confirm:

If the version is 24.1 or 24.2, the root cause is probable.

If the scan was executed from an appliance (not an outpost), the root cause is eliminated.

If the outpost version is older than 143.6.*, the root cause is possible.
