Q. When checking the content of the K8OBJECTS directory in the minio bucket it's hard to tell which exactly k8s objects have been backed up and from which namespaces. Is there a way to tell? 
A. For Helix Platform / ITOM / platform Common Services, when a user runs the "./disaster-recovery.sh backup", the backup script will take all the services backup, except the BMC Helix Logging components, as it's optional, which stores logs for the pod, and using Kibana UI user can reviwe BMC application pod logs. Users can use any other utility that they want to take a backup of BMC Helix Logging components, The BMC Helix Logging pod starts with a name at start as ”efk”
 

Q. Is it possible to specify which exact backup version or backup date to use for the restore using the ./disaster-recovery.sh restore script?

A. The last successful backup will be restored when running restore.

Q. If there are multiple Postgres backups in the bucket, how do I restore not the latest one, but any other that can be found in the postgres backups directory?
A. As of now, the recommendation is to restore the latest backup only.

Q. Does BMC also recommend taking backups of the Redis cluster and logging Elasticsearch? If so, are there any built-in scripts or runbooks to perform those?
Does Redis backup make sense at all and for which purposes, in case of yes?
A. The "./disaster-recovery.sh backup" script will take care of taking a backup of all the infra services, for Redis backups are not taken as it is having only transient data

Q. Neither Redis nor Elasticsearch (not Opensearch) is mentioned in any DR configurations, documentation, and backups. How do they get backed up? There are no relevant CronJob objects, Is there another script or anything else?
A. Redis backups are not taken. It is having only transient data. 
Elasticsearch/OpenSearch/OpenDistro backups are performed in events-es and logs-es backups.
