Upgrading the tomcat to the 9.0.97 and above version such as 9.0.98 for SmartIT in 20.02 results in either of the errors below: 

• Login with RSSO fails with error "Internal error occurred". 
• Error: An Error Occurred. Please contact your Administrator or retry later.
• If we login to MidTier first and then load the SmartIT URL in the next browser tab then it works to login to SmartIT

RSSO Logs Show: 
com.bmc.rsso.agent.RSSOFilter.doFilter(): Error occurred during processing of HTTP request/response. Error: 'An error occurred while reading redirect template html'
java.io.IOException: An error occurred while reading redirect template html 

• Make the following minor change in the smartit.xml file by adding notFoundClassResourceCacheSize="0" as shown below:

• After making this change, restart the services.
