Client Gateway Installation & Setup
Information needed from Customer requesting BMC Client Gateway connection
Step 1: Need the Helix URLs.
If end user wants to configure Client Gateway (Kaazing) for all the environment i.e. Dev/Tailoring, QA, Production then BMC need all the Helix environment URLs.
For ex:
https://<companyname>-tailoring-is.onbmc.com/innovationstudio/index.html
https://<companyname>-qa-is.onbmc.com/innovationstudio/index.html
https://<companyname>-is.onbmc.com/innovationstudio/index.html
Step 2: Host Name/IP and Port details of all the applications customer wants to integrate with Helix Cloud application.
For ex:
If customer wants to integrate AR/ITSM, DWP and DWP-C with Helix Cloud then BMC needs AR,ITSM,DWP,DWP-C Host Name/IP and Port details.
If customer also want to integrate RSSO then BMC need RSSO Host Name/IP and RSSO Tomcat Port details.
|
Connection Type | Environment/URL DEV/QA/PROD | Server IP | Server hostname | Server Port |
Application 1 / ITSM Midtier
Application 2/ AR Server
Application 3 if any | | | | |
Step 3: Create a ticket at https://www.bmc.com/support/support-central.html with the above information to setup the Kaazing Gateway.
Once BMC Support receives the required information, they will configure and setup the Client Gateway at BMC end and send the “gateway-config.xml” file to the customer. Customer will need to replace it on the gateway client and restart Kaazing service.
Step 4: Customer will be notified once the Kaazing gateway configuration is done.
BMC Helix Client Gateway connectivity
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If CA Signed certificates being used for the applications then there should not be any issue related to certificate to interact with Helix Cloud Platform.
If Self signed certificates being used for the applications then end customer needs to provide their Self signed certificate to BMC to import it in the Helix IS platform.
Note: Kaazing is ONLY supported in SAAS environment. For on-prem cloud environment, AR services can be exposed via Loadbalancer for external clients.
